About Me

Educational History:

I am a proud 1988 graduate of Pleasant Ridge High School.  After high school graduation, I attended and graduated from Baker University.  Shortly after taking a Third Grade teaching job at Salt Creek Valley School, I entered the Master's Degree program at Benedictine College where I completed my Master's of Education Administration Degree at Benedictine College in May of 1997. 

Degrees and Certifications:

-Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Baker University.

-Master of Education Administration Degree from Benedictine College.

Professional Experience

Current Position:

I have been the Principal of Pleasant Ridge Elementary School since its construction in 2004.

Previous Position:

I began my career here in USD 449 as a Third Grade teacher in 1993 at Salt Creek Valley School.

Since that time, I have served as the principal of Easton Grade School, Easton Primary School, and Salt Creek Valley School. I have seen many changes in our facilities over my career, but I still see the same staff commitment to children and families that I saw as a novice teacher.

Family Information:

I married my wife (also a Pleasant Ridge High School Graduate) in the summer of 1993 and, together, we raise cattle and our two boys on the family farm.  Our family has strong ties to our schools and our community and we are happy to be a part of the Pleasant Ridge family.
